Sea Witch

Look at the pissed off expression on her face!

These Satyxis characters have more than their share of fiddly bits to paint.  Its a challenge to come up with a cohesive color scheme that can both hilight the details and be used across the rest of the army!

Mechanithralls

Just one pic this time.  A line up of steampowered zombies

These guys were real simple to paint, but I love the characterful expressions and poses.  Privateer Press continues to impress me with their original and imaginative models.

Flesh - GW Rotting Flesh, glaze black, Rotting Flesh, Rotting Flesh/Bleached Bone, Bleached Bone
Metal - same as the rest of the army.  Reaper MS Shadowed Stone, Cloudy Gray, Rainy Gray, Glaze Black, retouch with Cloudy and Rainy, GW Flesh Wash glaze
Meat - GW Tentacle Pink, black glaze, purple glaze
Green Glow - White, green glaze, white highlight, yellow glaze

I have yet to finish the bases with the Necrotite glow, but I was rushing to get them on the table and have only just now pulled them back out of their case.

Next up, Satyxis Raider Captain & Sea Witch

Helljacks

Three jacks down!  (though I haven't marked the bases yet)

First, the little guy.  This Slayer is liable to ride the pine for a while, but I wanted to test out the purple and the metals on a bigger model.

Next up, Seether.  This is kind of interesting in that I bought the model used and it was already assembled with the shoulder plates reversed.  I'm not sure I like it, but I'm not sure I don't like it.  Whatever. . . what's done is done.  :-)

And last (for this update) the Harrower.  People seem to either lover or hate the 'crabjacks', but I'm rather fond of them.  They up the creepy factor - which for Cryx is good, in my book.

OK, I lied.  Here's a teaser for what's coming down the assembly line. . .

Look at the size differential!!
